Ben Lomond Lavender Farm is situated in the stunningly beautiful Wakatipu Valley, a short 10-minute drive from Queenstown or Arrowtown.

The Manners Wood family have owned the property since 1978, and Shane, who has a lifelong love of gardening and organics decided to plant a field of Lavender in 1998. Since then, the lavender farm & garden has doubled in size, offering guests a tranquil setting amongst Queenstown’s mountain ranges to enjoy Lavender and the seasonal gardens the homestead has to offer.

Lavender loves our growing environment in Queenstown - boasting hot dry summers and cold winters, free-draining soils and being 1000-feet above sea level provides the best growing conditions for the highest quality of Lavender essential oil.

We grow both oil producing lavenders at the farm - Lavandula Angustifolia and L. Intermedia - which are grown organically and steam distilled on the farm immediately after harvesting. On-site distillation allows us to produce exceptional quality organic oils, from which we blend into our own unique product range which can be purchased in our farm shop.

Ben Lomond Lavender is a member of the New Zealand Lavender Growers Association and our oils are tested to internationally recognised standards.

We invite you to come and visit us - Enjoy walking through rows of lavender, display gardens and take a piece of our farm home with you as we have quality products for sale in our gift shop which highlight the amazing benefits of Lavender. We also offer an arrange of events on site, so please enquire with us if you require more information.

We absolutely love sharing lavender’s soothing and fragrant qualities with visitors from all over the world.
